The compressive strength of the mortar when adding cement after setting

Abstract

This paper is a comparative study of the compressive strength of ordinary Portland cement mortar, standard size of 5 × 5 × 5 cm. Compared to the normal setting time of the mortar by increasing the cement content after setting was 45 min. The testing results of the mortar at 28 days when adding 5 %, 7 %, and 9 % by weight of cement found that the compressive strength of the mortar reduced was 27.92 %, 45.82 %, and 38.67 %, respectively.
