Currently, many Thai and foreign academic institutions are offering master degree in environmental engineering and water resources Including Mahidol University which opened in 2005 This study is aimed to assess the production effectiveness of the master graduates in this discipline. The data is from the database of master students who graduated during 2552 – 2562 B.E. from the Environmental Engineering and Water Resources program, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The descriptive statistics are analyzed. The analysis results showed that most master graduates could not complete the degree within two years as written in the curriculum. Foreign students tend to perform academically better than Thai counterparts and spent shorter average time to complete the degree. Possibly, it is because foreign students went through more rigorous selection process or had more constraints or has higher motivation to speed up their graduation for not being to reside in Thailand forever. The study results may indicate the potential of various target student groups. The master programs in environmental engineering and water resources can benefit from this findings for improving the effectiveness of their master graduate production.
