Abstract

Thai government by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Council of Engineer of Thailand has policy to adapt and adopt ABET accreditation to bring Thai Engineering curriculums to international standard. MHESI has signed MOU under a project to drive Thai Higher Education Institutes to be accredited by ABET within 2022. The School of Civil Engineering at Institute of Engineering, Suranaree University of Technology has participated in this MOU. In the past three academic year, the School has assessed the internal quality assurance in accordance with AUN-QA, TABEE and ABET. For the ABET, the ABET experts from the USA have mock-up visited for 2 times. Based upon the gained experiences, the objectives of this paper is to present the comparison of criteria for ABET and AUN-QA accreditation in order to exchange the knowledge of applying the criteria for the curriculum’s continuous improvement and ABET accreditation in the near future.
