Applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Quarry Mapping Case study Phet Muang Lei Crashing Plant

Abstract

This article presents the study of UAVs surveying for quarry mapping. The objective of studying to application of UAVs images processing for Topographic map and to Ortho-photo map with UAVs Photogrammetry from 6 GCPs by using GNSS. The study area at Phet Mueng Loei quarry Loei Province. Which has flying height of 140 meters above the terrain. Total of 793 images. Average GSD about 4 cm. The mean reprojection error is 0.103 pixels. The error of GCP is RMSE X 4.8 cm, RMSE Y 3.4 cm, RMSE Z 0.7 cm, and check point RMSE X 6.4 cm, RMSE Y 4.9 cm.
