Application of the fifth dimension building information model for housing estate.
Abstract
Quantities take off is an important process in construction work. and it is a process that makes it known the construction costs of both small projects and large projects. The complex nature of the project will result in more costly mistakes. Currently, the quantity take off for cost estimate will be calculated by organization personnel. Which may have caused an error that came from lack of mathematical knowledge reading comprehension of construction drawings or insufficient resources on materials and equipment thus resulting in different results. It a long time to estimate the price. This study found that building information modeling (BIM) was used to estimate the price of two-floor houses in a housing estate. Reduces errors in material removal and cost estimation. Which makes costing in housing projects More accurate.
