The Department of Highways has hired consultant engineers of Chotichinda Consultants Company Limited to survey, design, improve and solve traffic problems at 3 intersections, namely 1) the intersection of Highway No. 34 and Highway No. 314 at Khlong Om Intersection, Chachoengsao Province 2) the intersections between Nong Fab Intersection and PTT Intersection on Highway No. 3, Rayong Province and 3) the intersection of Highway No. 3 and the starting point of Highway No. 332 at J Intersection, Chonburi Province. The author has proposed a solution by designing all three intersections to be grade separated interchanges and at-grade roundabout interchanges and has identified 3 factors to select those intersection models, namely 1) Engineering and traffic factor 2) Economic and financial factor and 3) Environmental factor. The selection results can be concluded that the at-grade roundabout interchanges of all three intersections were the best choice, which increased travel efficiency.
