Abstract

From the past to the present, the architectural glass construction companies, which work in high-rise building projects are have encountered in problems in terms of project costs, including project development delays. That can’t be controlled in the work plan. The purpose of this research is to study the effects and factors that cause problems, which will affect the delay and impact on the project cost. By studying case studies of 2 projects, the process was divided into 3 phases, namely the production process, transportation process and construction process and then the impacts was divided into two groups of impacts, time effects and the impact on project costs. The data were collected from people who involve in the project development from the perspective of the architectural glass construction company. According to the study, the problem that affects the project the most is the lack or exceeds the production requirements of the project. This is due to the lack of consistent coordination between the architectural teams and the project's designer. And individual errors that are primarily responsible for the work at each stage of the production such as preparing the bill of quantities and production order process. Therefore, they are should improve the workflow. Provide accountability and auditors at each step and adopt current communication technologies such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams to reduce the time required for meeting. This will improve the efficiency of working as a better team
