Abstract

Air pollution is very prevalent problem. Big cities in the world are facing dust particles with PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles exceeding the standard value. Bangkok sometimes was ranked as the world's most polluted city. Construction projects are often been criticized as one of the polluters, especially for building constructions that dust from construction activities can spread further than the other types of project. Therefore, this research proposes a dust measurement system for the building construction project by using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles integrate with PM 2.5 and PM 10 particle sensors to measure dust dispersion. Nowadays measuring dust particle concentrations in building construction sites is done by installing measuring device at a random location, so, using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles will help users to measure amount of dust particle dispersed from the construction at any desired areas. Finally, the system was tested by comparing with other instruments to test the efficiency and the accuracy of the system. The result of experiments found that the system has small error, giving fast and accurate dust values. Therefore, it is convenient to measure the dispersion of PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles.
